Where at Rend Lake

    Where do you guy fish at on Rend Lake? I am coming from I57. I tried some places and was not happy.

    Matthew, if you get off I-57 at the 154 - Sesser exit #77, go west about 1 mile. The first bridge is Gun Creek. This seems to be the hot spot this time of year. South of 154 bridge I know is good, have not tried north of bridge. I have good luck bank (tight line) fishing off the riprap, if you can find some depth, and casting out as far as you can. I have good luck with nightcrawlers and gumbo red wigglers, rig so you have one hook laying on the bottom and second hook off the bottom - this one often catches strippers or perch.     don is right. try drifting the humps around the channels.
