Where are the shad this time of year???

    I have a place that i can maybe catch some its a warm water disposal off of a power plant and i have seen many there in the winter just wondering what you guys thought about were they would be in the winter.

    You answered your own question...anywhere there's warm water. Most of the time, that means going deep.

    No kidding in Nov we were still catching them in lakes and now they just dissapear so maybe they did. :big_smile:

    Lake norman in n.c. has a hot water discharge and in the winter you can go at night and hold a spot light close to the water while moving as slow as you can and the 12 to 13 inch shad will come up in front and beside your boat then throw your net on them you have to be quick like spiderman to get the big ones.
