I don't now about others - but I have fished in the rain before, not a "Down Pour" but a light rain - and I think that a lot of people that have not, will be surprise at the outcome, sometimes it can turn the fish on and get them to feed when getting a bite was hard to come by before.

If you know where to go it can be great, like the mouths of feeder creeks can be very good.Cats will set there and let the food wash right down to them.

I have had great luck at feeder creeks, dams, and also around log jams in the rain, open river and in channels not so much... I will fish rain or shine, I get a little nervous in the lightning though...

I don't have a problem with fishing in just about any conditions.... except the cold. I don't like doing anything in the cold. Rain doesn't bother me but here in the desert if it's raining it's usually a pretty serious storm that has severe winds and thunder alongside.

I am one that will fish Rain or Shine! Now let me be speciffic! I will fish in the rain as long as it is not a Thunder Storm! Most of my rods are Graphite and due to this fact alone, I will not fish at these times. I will fish in the Cold, Rain, Sunshine or Wind if the water will allow. I do not fish on Frozen lakes as this is not my forte!!! I say that you can stay Dry in the Rain or Warm in the Cold, but I would rather the DRY! I have found that the fishing can be GREAT in the Rain and as long as you find the fish, you can catch! JMHO!!!!!!!!!!!

After a good rain, I can guarantee flatheads!

Too bad it doesn't rain as much as I like it would.

I have fished in the rain snow storms and everyhting else.I cant say that the fishing is better in the rain though.I do like it when the wind is blowing hard though. It seems to bring all the bait fish up to the bank.
