    Reading a recent thread on Crappie, I started to thinking on what my favorite three fish to eat are. As hard as it is to imagine, I know that there are some folks on here who like to catch catfish but dont like to eat 'em. So what are your top three favorite eater fish? Mine are as follows;

    1. Halibut
    2. Catfish
    3. Crappie

  2. CatHound

    1. Catfish/Catfish/Catfish
    2. Walleye/Sauger/Perch
    3. Halibut/Flounder/Fluke

Honorable mention: Carp - I have no idea how it was prepared, but, when I was served it in China, it was about the best tasting fish I've ever eaten.

We don't eat seafood as often as I want, but these are my top favorites:

    1. Salmon
    2. Catfish (not when I cook it :tounge_out: )
    3. Tilapia
There are a lot of fish I haven't tried yet such as crappie, shark, perch, seabass, a lot of others. But I love grilled salmon fillet, catfish (like I said, I don't like it as much when I cook it), and grilled or broiled tilapia. Bass are probably my least fav. fish to eat, but I have only eaten the bass I cleaned and cooked (makes it worse).

man this is tough. if i had to pick three

    1. Walleye, especially when caught through ice
    2. Bluegill through Ice
    3. Crappie
    4. Freshwater Drum.

Drum sounds crazy but those of you who catch them catfishing or walleye fishing try it. We go to Erie several times a year and stay at the same guides cabins every time. Over the years he has told us countless unside secrets about how to catch the walleye (we take our boat and don't guide and he has filled our limit many days by calling our cell phones and telling us how and where they are catching them). He said everybody gets mad about catching drum so he always ask if he can have them and everybody says yes. He cooked us up one night around a campfire and it was delicious, maybe better than the walleye we cooked. I don't know how he cleaned it or prepared it but it was awesome, especially after a long day on the Lake, sitting by a campfire with a cold beer in hand.

I remember catching Drum on the lake when I grew up in Cleveland. We used to call them Sheep Head. They were condsidered garbage fish.

    What's a Burbot?

    1. Rock Cod - Red snapper - Ling Cods
