I'm thinking i'm going down to the kaw and make a night of it. There will be so much noise, I wont be able to sleep if Im at home anyway. Weather has finally settled down, and the river should be stable by the weekend.

I know my son an i are going to Connellsville P.A. for a family reunion on sat.Will not be there long enough to go fishn ,but might think about it .

Have a wedding to attend on the 3rd and will probably stay away from the Clinton boatramps.........amateur weekend at the ramp!!

My neighbor and I throw a medium sized party at our houses. Friends and family invited and what not. We have a horse shoe pit, washers, and ******* golf games going. Swimming pool for the kids. Put both of our grills together and one smoker. Smoke/grill a bunch of meat and serve all the sides. Homeade ice cream, brownies, and cookies for the dessert. Lots of lawn chairs, kids/dogs running around and last but not least A LOT of barley pops!!

We won a one night stay at the Hyatt in Wichita, so we got a room that over looks the river bank from where they launch the fireworks . Other than that we're avoiding amateur day at the ramps too.

Ill either go to belleville or stay in hutch and watch some races saturday. Sunday is my b-day so im going to try and catch a pig in sterling on the ark.

Dustin, I want to head to belleville myself. can a guy still get tickets to the 100????? Friday night, I am going to be flathead fishing on Kirwin Lake, Saturday I plan on mowing the yard, sippin on some totties, and then grill something or other, and hopefully go to the races in belleville sunday. If that falls through, I am gonna be back on one lake or another.

My boss throws a big get together just outside of Topeka where he lives.
He has a ball field,batting cage,vollyball & horseshoes to play.And some good eats
and maybe a little to drink.he!he!
They light all the fireworks on the ball dimond.Makes for a good evening.

Last year there was about 20 family's there so the fireworks go on for a few hrs.

I do keep a little brandy on hand and some big ass bottle rockets Bobpaul gave me down at the barn.
Maybe we'll set the hay field on fire and make it real interesting.

Ray, just so you know…..according to Google Map, it's 170' from the penthouse window to the river. You might think about adding more line to your reel. :Happy:
