:cool2:my favorite is the polomar. the line always breaks before the knot. i haven't ever had it fail. been using it for 10 years or so.

Palomar is what I use the most, along with a surgeons loop.

My go to knot is the uni-knot. This knot is a very versatile knot this is good for lots of different things. You can snell a hooks with it, you can join leader to your line, tie line to reels, etc.

I have been fishing since I was a little kid and funny thing is I have never heard of the polymer knot until hanging out on this board. Looks like a nice strong easy to tie knot. The only problem I see with it is that the line has to be able to run through the hook eye doubled up. Some of my favorite hooks (khale hooks) seem to have notoriously small eyes.

I use the palomar knot 90% of the time, the improved and two-turn cinch knot on smaller tackle. Since I joined Boc I'll be trying the snell this year on my hooks. The ones with the up or down turned eyes, the straight J hooks I'll still use the palomar. From what I read on some of the other post you get better hook ups with the snell. It makes sense after trying it out it does a better job of pulling the point of the hook into the meat.

I snell my first hook in my tandem hook rigs, and all other knots are double clinch knots.

palomar is the one I use the most because its easy to tie and have never had one let me down. The line breaks before the knot comes undone.
