Well my Favorite bait for those Flatties would be Bluegills, but it also depends on where I'm fishing. They eat what they live with, so why Change their routine

Close race between Black Perch and Bullheads for #1

    #2 - Baby Carp
    #3 - Goldfish
If I can't get anything else bluegill.

All alive of course. That is just works best around here. It is different all over I have discovered.

Blue Gill alive and kicking, I also like to remove some scales from tail to dorsal fin, puts them in kind of panic mode.
Large shiners has also produced smaller flats.

I'm with Matt on this one, creek chubs are my favorite, but they will eat almost anything thats alive and will fit in their mouth and sometime fresh dead and/or cut.

Wow, Thanxx fellas, one other thing though, one of yall ( gcarlin ) said you like using whatever it is that they are eating in the place you're fishing. Well, i'm fishin' the shores of the Ohio River (the dock in my pic. is my lucky one), so do u think that could be why they were not hitting my cut bluegill last time. I mean I know there r bluegill in there, but not super thick like shad, skippies, ect.??? or maybe it was because it was frozen and I need to use it fresh next time. What do yall think??? Thanxxx A LOT!!! please keep the post comin' in.
