Whats Your Favorite Flathead Catfish Bait???

    For my lake they love either gills/bream or the bluebacks/threadfin's. Just depends what they want that day. Other baits will work, and some by fluke work excellent for a day, But day in and day out, if ya want consistent flats, it takes the above baits.

    Out of all the bait I use, I enjoy using the herring the most. There is the whole system of finding, netting, and keeping them alive that I enjoy doing ; )

    If im going for size big suckers and trout. For numbers green sunfish rock bass and gills.

    number 1 for me is bullheads any size live or cut....number 2 is carp any size live or cut as well

    Blue gills would have to be my favorite. Followed by live shad and cut shad. I have caught them on cut shad, gill and skip. but i also catch them on live bait. never used a live bass. but i will try it.:smile2:
