My favorite would be an 8/0 Gamma Octopus Circle with fresh cut skipjack for bait.

For blue cats it would have to be bluegill heads on a 8/0 or 9/0 circle hook .

For flats I would go with a live gill or shad on a 8/0 or 9/0 circle

For channels I have to go with Sonnies dip or Secret 7 dip on a dip tube with a J hook instead of a treble .

I like the skipjack heads on a king kahle hook. Just starting to use the 8/0 Team Catfish double action hook and like it so far.

My personal preference is fresh cut big gizzard shad. But I never get too hung up on a certain bait, so my favorite would be whatever they are biting on at the time. I do have a favorite hook in different sizes depending on the size of my bait, Gamakatsu Octopus Circles. I normally use from 5/0 to 8/0.
