I was wandering what are your favorite fishing knots? My most used knots are the clinch knot, palomar knot, snell knot. For my live bait i like the snell and for tying my swivels on i seem to use the clinch knot. So just wandering what are your alls favorite knots that you use when your fishing.

I still use the old clinch instead of the improved clinch. Hows your version of the clinch?

For me the uni-knot is the quickest and stongest knot. My eyes aren't the best in the world and my hands aren't very steady so the uni-knot being so easy to tie is my favorite knot. I even use a version of it to snell a hook.

I'm going with the :worship:"Palomar knot" here because this is the knot that I find myself using the most & it has "Never" let me down. :0a23:

I like the palomar because it's quick and easy, when I take the kids out.
The clinch is my favorite though. Very strong, when done right.

While its not one of the choices here, I have been using the trilene knot since I was a kid. I've tried other knots but I can never really remember them. I can tie a trilene in the dark with no problem...so I tend to stay with it.

I've been using Palomar knots for a few years now. It's the best knot there is IMO.

I use a very simple knot. Works for me, has for about 50 years. I do not use swivels , just a quick knot to tie on sinkers hooks, ect.
Take the mono line around your to fingers on your dominate hand, wrap them three times and then cross the main line through them , spit on the resuling knot and pull tight.
Works for me damn I use 15 lb test to land 50 plus catfish, use the drag silly thats what it is for

    Keep them lines wet

I use the uni-knot most of the time, it is especially good for joining lines and snelling. I have used the palomar on rare occasions, and it is a good knot, but I have never had a knot fail using the uni-knot. I have used the trilene knot, but have had it break, so it is no longer in my arsenal.
