been hard to get shad lately. do they go deeper in cold water? i cant seam to net very many the last few days. is it possible they are out running my net because they are holding deeper? do you guys get them any different in the fall/winter than in summer?

Tim I was at Barkley Dam this week and saw several dipping shad in the swift current on the east bank side. It wasn't taking them long to fill a bucket.

Water temp. 65 degress down here I'am still catching shad in shallow coves and feeder creeks in the dark. Daytime in a deep cove around 10'' to 16'' feet. Wene the water gets colder i'll catch them in 20'' water let the net go all the way to the bottom... I hope this helps!!!
