Hi Jacob! Welcome to the Brotherhood of Catfishermen family. We're glad to have you! :cool2:

You might want to check out the "Catfishing on the Red River" thread.....

    www.catfish1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74388

It's a very active thread; I'm sure several of those folks could give you some good advice, and you'd also get to know some other people in your area of the country.

Welcome aboard the BOC Jacob, you came to the right spot fer your information... as far as noodles go I try to get mine in a little current along a varying depth change ta see what depth works best.... I don't know where you fish but one of the better spots I've run noodles is across from the Horseshoe casino on the shallower side... done pretty good there... I usually only run a dozen cause I just can't keep up with them.... but it's a blast trying....hope this helps.... Keep us informed on how ya do...Inquireing rednecks wanna know.............:cool2:

Welcome Jake, to the BOC. We hope you enjoy sharing lies and info. We fish the Mississippi River near Baton Rouge. For the first time since I have been fishing it, it is up really high for this time of the year. Usually it is Jan-Feb. Fishing is usually the absolute best in April and May and really drops off in June. It is forecasted to be up through the month of April. It sometimes alters the bottom conditions and you have to refind the fish. The Red River string is very active. I wish we had similar activity in south LA but it aint so. In any case welcome.
