:) I dunno about that Zakk, shad can stink, but leave a tub of liver out in 100* weather for a day or 2 and OMG... talk about catching fish before the bait hits the water... they smell it coming lol...

I think raw shrimp, that's been out in the air a while, can take the top prize on the smell-o-meter survey... after Zakks pink undies, of course. :sick-big:

    :crying: mikes right.
as a matter of fact a couple times last summer (100 degree days) i left raw shrimp and crawlers in the same lidded bucket and the smell will about punch you when you open it up. its pretty gross.
i wouldnt know about jw's underarms. i'll take your word for it. maybe if you wouldnt allow him to take you under his wing;)

1 single little minnow can make a real stink left in a canvas/vinyal lunch pouch for a week also.:sick-big:

ive smelled some pretty rank stuff in my time and i beleive nitecrawlers are the worst if left in a car for a couple summer days! i voted crawlers. anyone have a blue cat up-chuck shad on them or in the boat before? ive had it happen twice....it is by far, BY FAR the worst odor known to man! i wouldnt consider it rotten, rather partially digested.

Nothing is worse than a jar of shad left out for several days. But that wasn't one of the choices

Using the motto "the stinkier the better" as a basis for trying to get some really nasty smelling bait, I left some chicken livers in a cooler in the bed of my pickup truck in the 90+ degree heat for a week. I figured the cats would be able to smell the bait from a mile away and not be able to resist them. Well they were so awful I don't think the english language has words to describle the stank that arose from that container. We brought them down to the river and once the cooler was opened, I swear I saw a green cloud arise from the livers. We tried them anyway and not one bite. I will NEVER do that again.

Hey Nate, I was suprised you didnt list some rotton Crawdads/crayfish, man those have got some nastiness on them...If it was on the list, I would have voted for them..instead, Ive experienced forgotten night crawlers in the trunk on a hot summers day, its right up there with the Crawdads! So I voted for crawlers
