I live in central Alabama . I fish on the Alabama river year round . yesterday the water was 55 degrees . I was just wandering how the temp varies in other places , and if it affects your fishing ?

i know its redundant to what you just said, but the temp. in the delta down by my place was 55 3 nights ago. i expect after this big canadian fart (cold front) when the temps get down into the teens tonight... yeah. it will drop on down to the mid 40's, but who knows in alabama?

yeah yesterday was not the best day to be on the river it was hard to anchor the boat because the wind was producing giant waves not to mention very very cold.

I was out the other day and it was 45 to 47 but it is 16 degrees out right now so I am sure after a couple of days of this and wind it has cooled the surface temp at little bit.

Outflow at Beech Fork Lake, 41.5 deg.

If I 'm fishing the lake, I'm hitting the sunny-side. The larger feeder creek channels, 50 ft or more out from where they hit the lake. Hopefully with a wind blowing up the creek.

I live in South Kansas and the water temp was 43 out on Cheney Reservoir. Fishing is still fine in deeper water.

I'm in SE North Carolina and the water temp is 54.7, well as of yesterday it was. It's probably much colder now it got real cold last night and it's even colder tonight.

We fished twice this past week. Friday it was 39 degrees and then we fished a tournament Saturday and it was 40 degrees. Blues are biting really well. We weighed in 107 lbs with 5 fish yesterday and were culing 10+ lb. fish before noon.
