So what's the smallest catfish you've caught on the biggest size hook ?
I have caught a 1 lb blue on a 10/0 gamakatsu . It looked rather funny to say the least.
i have caught a baby blue about 5 1/2" on a 0/6 circle how i dont know but the bait was as big as it was
the other day i caught a 12" blue on a 9/0 true turn. That fish looked like it needed the hook removed and then put back in right below the dorsal.
7" bullhead on a large flutter spoon while trout fishing in a small stream.
i was using small skips one day fishin with 10/0 the skip was about 5 to 6 inches long...well my rod kept bouncin for about 5 minutes or so,i really got tired of it so i was going to real in and throw out somewhere else, when i get my line in the boat this flat head was so small the tail of the skip was stickin out the end of his mouth,,,i did'nt really hook it but i caught him using a 10/0 and the flatty was about 5 inches long..true story i promise,i think dh was with me.......
I got this hungry little fellow on a 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus. LoL

The cat in my picture was 3" with a normal treble hook used for a stink bait worm. Caught it in the middle of the Mississippi in fast current with a rocky bottom.
My wife caught a little 3 inch channel last summer. The funny thing isn't so much that it was on a large hook but the fact that the hook was not in the fish's mouth at all. The catfish's whiskers had snagged on the hook and the fish was so tiny that it was able to be landed without the whisker breaking off.
I once caught a fingerling channel on a #2 trebble w/stink bait.
Identical to Kieth's and Dan's story 3" fish on a #2 treble hook. Sadly that was the only fish we caught that night:embarassed: .
An 8in channel on a 5/0 j-style hook.
