    The difference is:
A kahle hook, is a hook that you can set yourself or let the fish set it, Great hooks!!! best of both worlds!!!
A circle hook has to be set by the fish, you cannot set it yourself. These are great hooks if the fish are hammering the bait, but if they aren't, circles aren't worth doodly squat!!!!

ive given up on circle hooks completely went back to khales. circle hooks are not any use in my book, if the fish doesnt hammer bait and take it right he wont hook himself. and the shank is design to where it is almost im possible to set yourself. now octopus circles are good they have the off shank set u can set them.

I am not a great fan of the circle hook, as I've said before on the board. However, they do have a place in your fishing arsenal. A wise fisherman, in my opinion, does not turn his back on anything which may be helpful to him. What I would recommend is for you to try both styles of hooks and see what preference it is you develop. That way, the hooks you would use are the ones you are personally satisfied with. Everyone has an opinion, and believe me, they don't hesitate to share it. LOL
