Fishing here on the alabama river in the dallas county area the deepest places i have found are all around 60 feet .I know of three places of this depth so far . One is near prarie creek camp grounds , another near six mile creek and the other is near steeles landing . I hear this time of year the catfish are held up in these deep holes , but i havent really been able to locate anything special . If there are holes deeper than this they are probally held up there . Also I have been looking for a creek flowing into the river ,the creek needs to be 20 to 30 feet deep while the river is much deeper at the mouth of the creek . oh, well maybe one day i will finally catch that big blue cat that got away.
