With this upcoming trip to wheeler, Kyle, Kirk and I are lookin' to get a head start on the bait situation for the four day fishing trip.

We are plannin on Jan. 2nd to go find some skips. My ? is this...Where is the best bet? Cumberland City, TN? Kentucky Dam?

We have a four door truck and have 1 more seat available for someone else that wants to go. It will be 1 LONG day, full of caffeine and Copenhagen to keep us awake!:smile2: Let me know what you guys think as far as where to go to catch as many as we can and if you would like to go with.

I would recommend you hit the dams in Kentucky. If they arnt there, continue on to Cumberland City. It's only another 90 minutes and the dam are on the way

Kentucky dam and Barkey Dam. They are five minutes apart boat the roads are all dorked up and you have to drive around via interstate 24 to get to em. Send Rusty a PM. He usually has the nitty gritty on the skipjack bite down that way. If they aren't there you can drive down to Cumberland City from there. I usually go the LBL road but dunno if it's the fastest. Certainly the prettiest.

Sarah's aunt and uncle actually live in Metropolis on a big ole farm....Aunt Peggy's breakfasts are worth the drive over there alone!!! :dribble:
