Branden's pole bent double as he fights an over weight flathead Sunday night just east of Downtown Kansas City with a fantastic sunset behind him.
    Check out the photo.

That looks like an Ugly Stik "TIGER". If so, it's bending pretty darn good under the weight of that fish. Nothing shabby 'bout that.

Nothin more beautiful than a rod bent double with a big ole catfish on the hook. Well maybe I did see a few young ladies that caught my eye too

That photo makes me want to get out there! But instead I will keep hiding in my basement--it's the coolest place in the house.

That sure is a beautiful picture. How big was the fish on the end of that bent rod? I've got to admit that I thought I was going to see a platter of fried catfish,by the title of the thread.LOL

Branden forgot his scales so we figure it weighed some where around fifty pounds. Here are a couple of pictures of the fish. You can see the Kansas city skyline in one of the photos.

Nah, anything over about 10# I put back in the water. That guy's probably been in the river longer than I've been alive. I just wanted a look at him:big_smile:

That's definenetly a nice one. Here's one that I caught last year, about the same size. It weighed 45 lbs.
