On 2/7 a friend and I caught 17 keepers, 10" and up, in 10 to 14 feet of water on jigs, 5 were males and the rest females with bright eggs but nowhere near ready and then another friend on 2/13 caught 1 bass, 1 cat and 3 big crappie, two 12" and one 11 1/2" on a red rattletrap in 2 feet of water, 2 males and 1 female all on the same clay point. The surface temp was 48 degrees both days. He just moved up that shallow 30 mins before he had to leave, was bass fishing, so was unable to try to expand on the pattern. Think this is an abnormality or have you had similar happenings?
