    Hey All,
I just finished up this rod,,
    It's 7' -One Piece
    40-60# E-Glass
Roller Tip Top and Stripper Guide
    Heavy Duty Double Wrap
American Tackle Virtus Guides w/ Nanolite Ring

Abu Garcia 7000iC3 Spooled w/ Quattro Camo 50# Mono

Not sure if this will work,, It probably needs Field Testing,,,,

What were you thinking? :tounge_out: you got fish big enough for that in az? Or did you make it for someone else? Either way it looks purdy.

I recommend you field test. looks nice. 30-60 lb that takes abig fish. 50 lb mono, you will be able to land about any fish on land or sea.

Id like to know about the roller too? I was looking at a rod with a roller that I liked and was in my price range. Jus need to know if it will hamper the casting? That is a mighty fine piece of work you got there, so is the pink rod from your last build.

The roller tip is simply to alleviate friction of the line to the eyes of guides..The line rolls over the bearing instead of sliding across it
My thought is,,It's the worst on the Tip Top.. I've seen a lot of guides with grooves cut into them, and have heard of the worn guides cutting fishing line..

I've installed roller tips on some other heavy rods I use, and when yarding a fish through cover, it seems to alleviate some of the felt strain. and helps protect the rod components, as well as the fishing line..

I don't usually cast very far,, maybe 50 yards, give or take,, and haven't noticed any real difference in casting..

And, I just like the gizmoness of it all!!!

And, thanks for the comments, thanks, and reps..

    Good job Greg..

Man I thought everybody has seen that laminated eva? guess not:big_smile:Them rollers might not be to good on the casting but they sure help in relieving the pressure on the tip when dragging in the big one.. especially in the big pond:wink:

    wraps turned out well also.
