What else.....fish cats:lol:
At 20 below I STAY HOME.
I spend my time at home next to a warm fire. If I decide to go to bed then its under an electric blanket. I continue to think and dream about fishing.:surrender: :0a1: :0a1:
We think we got it bad when it gets down to +20 here, don't even want to think about -20.
Turn Furnace up,Get blanket out ,fix popcorn &,hot choc. and hope it warms up pretty darn quick.
I guess I will stay home.. I like to watching tv, movies, chilling out on computer.... I wait till temperature back to 40s... then ready fishing again!
At -20 i dont think I'd even crawl out of bed!!!
I went out when it was in the teens and didnt know if i was dying of the cold or just boredom of the lack of cat bites, but kudos to those guys. It may have been -20 but i saw a propane heater in there so it couldnt have been to bad
That is the way to do it when it is cold, set up a tent and get the fire going. Nice eating size. Way to go brother.
The only time I have seen -20F was in Canada deer hunting, so the answer is DEER HUNT!
Who was that clown that poked his head through the door of that video?!?!?
Wait..... that was ME?!?!?!?!?
Howed those cold water channels taste?
Move to Florida. LOL
either get my ice fishing gear out or even more likely, get my ski gear out!
Move to Alabama lol. we got good weather here lol.
It's only supposed to be -12 tonight so the fish oughta be bitin in the morning. :smile2: Got the waxworms ready and the poles are rigged. God, I love this weather!
It would be time to head south... It rarely gets down to 0 here.
The very reason(and shoveling snow), that after living a winter in Florida, i never returned to Minnesota in 1967. So the answer is go south--shu
That sure looked like fun .... but you can't put that tent out there when it was warm. I don't think I want anything to do with it except watching.:smile2:
Boy, I'm glad I don't have to count on all you guys/gals for fishing partners.
I'd never get to go.
I look at it this way, you take what is given to you and make the best of it. Dressed properly the cold is small pain in the butt, at the most (equipment issues).
Also, for those not familiar with ice fishing, calling the shelter a tent is like calling a decked out cat rig a row boat. This is some highly specialized gear, and with those temps it's a no wonder. Look here:
Anyways, I normally won't take a cat to eat, but I did take a couple and cleaned them up. Haven't sampled them yet, but I'm sure they will be tasty.
Thanks for checking out the video, if you click on my username in YouTube I've got a few others that might spark an interest:cool2:
