what type of bait to use for catfish... they love it
One of my favorite baits to use is cherry jello mixed with garlic salt.
Just make the jello according to the directions but do not refrigerate it. Then put a couple tablespoons of garlic salt in and stir untill it is dissolved. Garlic powder will also work but I have had better success with the salt. Marinate 1inch pieces of cheap hotdogs, raw shrimp or bait sized pieces of chicken breast or thighs at least overnight at room temperature.
Blue cats love this stuff and channels will hit it as well. Marinated raw shrimp is my favorite of the ones listed but they all work.
i use more cheese into my baits than sugary stuff. I have alot of carp that hit the sweet stuff here
i read in a woman's mag they love marshmallows... it was my girlfriends
Like soap, marshmallows are a 'slow bite' type of bait best used on trotlines, rather than rod & reel. When I've seen marshmallows used, they mostly caught smaller, eating size fish.
