I use 3 "jamison #2" rods from the Rod shop and 3 Surge rods. The Surge rods are the best that I have found for the money. Stainless guides, cork handle and stainless reel seat for around 70 bucks.

I use american sprit nite sticks in 12 foot lenght. and 10 foot.

I also use ugly stick big waters in 12 foot..

I have alot of smaller rods, quantum big cats, tiger rods, and surge...But they never see the water anymore.

Depends on where im fishing and if im on a boat or from the shore. Also depends on what all is over head. i usually fish with 2-3 rods at a time.

if from the shore with plenty of room i have 2- 9 foot and 2- 11 foot River Cat rods. for the money you can't beat them. i think i have 30-40$ in each one of them.

from the boat or in tighter spots i use some of my old muskie rods. they are 6-7foot heavy action St. Croix. they are fairly expensive for a catfish pole but i like to up grade my muskie collection once in a while and that's where i have retired a few too.

all my rods have abu garcia 6500 - 7000 reels on them.

There's not such animal as too many rods and/or combos because conditions change. I have a wide and varied assortment also but right now I'm favoring CatfishSafari Flatheads and the 3/4 Ton Team Catfish. Both have backbone to spare and work great from the boat or bank. Stay safe and good fishing!!!
