are any knots better than the other for power pro?
clinch, uni, double uni, palomar?
With Braid I have heard that the Palomar weorks best or the Double Palomar just go thru thru the hook or swivel twice.
Keeps the knot from slipping, At least it works for me.
Hope this helps
Palomar knot for everything !!!
Palomar for everything. I think that has been said before.
Palomar or double Palomar, although I've actually been tieing fewer doubles lately. If something has to fail someplace, I'd just as soon it was at the hook rather than someplace closer to me costing me line.
Surgeons knot for loops but those I always at least double or triple, as single breaks too easy. (poor knot strength on braid)
I'm not sure what the technical name for it is. I've seen it labeled differently several times. But the knot I use is the same old trilene knot. You know the one where you put it through the eye twice, twist it 4 or 5 times, and go back through the loop at the eye. EXCEPT, after you twist it and put it through the loops at the eye. back through the loop you just created. I never break at the knot, or unravel a knot.
I like the double granny.
Palomar, the only knot I use.
Palomar for everything except hooks with offset eyes, snells for them. Mono or braid.. Afew years ago I was at BPS and the Berkley tent had a knot breaking machine, palomar won every time.
Palomar for braid, Improved Clinch knot for mono.
I really should just use palomar for everything I suppose, it's a great, simple, strong, easy knot.
Lubricate the line well before cinching any knot down.....you know......SPIT on it!
Preferably spit with some chewing tobacco juice.
Slick as snot.
That'll give the line a nice, brown, low-viz color too. Not to mention the scent attraction that chewed 'bacca provides.
I use palomar on just about everything, good luck!
A little drop of super glue on the knot works great!
