i need a penn reel that is tough yet still nice to fish with, including castability casue i do most of my fishing from the bank so distance is needed some times. also i need a reel that can put up with the fight of many big fish without tearing up plan on fishing with it alot. So does anyone suggestions on what model of penn reel that would be good????? ive heard some people say the gt seris but ive heard othes too so any suggestions????

IF you just have to have a Penn, the GT series like the 310 and 320 are hard to beat. You can move up to the 330 and the bigger ones if you need a lot of heavy line, but you'll definitely be giving up some castability with the stiff line, unless you plan on using braid.

I use many Penns for distance I use the 140, 500, and 545. All of these are non levelwind but I have not found that to be a problem at all.
