From the looks of it. It looks like a dark green stripper. But I could be wrong. You might want to ask someone what kind of fish are in the lake your fishing.

Yeah it is I looked it up on the net and the neibor said it was too. He weights 17 lbs.,by his scales. Strange though, you can just a bout hit a golfball across this lake, but it has an underground river or spring feeding it. I guess thats how they get in. I caught him om chicken liver fishin for channels on the bottom. Go figure.

I've caught a lot of strypers on chicken livers out of the Ohio River before. First time I couldn't believe it but after talking to others, it's pretty common. But none have been like the monster you got, that's a bute mate! Congrats!

New State record Sunshine Bass if you caught it in Florida.

    Current record:
Bass, Sunshine, Morone saxatilis x chrysops
16.31 lbs., Lake Seminole, 5-9-85, Thomas Elder

A really nice Hybrid Bass if you caught it somewhere else.

A Hybrid bass is made by crossing a Female Striper with a Male White Bass

A Sunshine Bass is made by crossing a Female White Bass with a Male Striper.

It is Florida's version of a Hybrid and is developed that way to deal with the warmer waters of the state.

Hybrids have a penchant for livers (I use to catch them all the time back in my liver days) here in NC.

Very nice fish either way, anywhere.........

Hey Glenn, Man that's a nice fish. What did you think you had on? I bet he was fun. I've caught a few small whites on liver but I don't remember ever catching a striper before.
