Benji, I believe that is a Hog Toothed Sepra, mainly sustains life by eating the cuticle from horses and cows when they get into the water. The largest one recorded is 638 pounds, caught in a farm pond in southern Nova Scotia. When spawning they actually leave the water and attack inner city locations by grabbing a Monarch butterfly and flying.

Sorry Benji, just horsing around, I couldn't pull up the picture!!

Is it just me or is that fish looking at me funny??

That is called a Buf which is actually an acronym for the real name: "Butt-Ugly Fish"

Locals just call it a Turd fish LOL.

At first glance I thought he was caught using an UGLY Stick, but upon closer review it appears that he was in fact beaten severely with an Ugly Stick! Jeeze that little monster is a sight! ROFL

When i fish saltwater, i usually catch a whole lot of fish. Looks like to me that fish is a member to the toadfish family, the most ugly type of fish I have caught on saltwater. Also known as the mother-in-law fish

It's a Lumpfish. Ace had the exact same picture in this thread, but now the picture is gone, but the info is still there.

I don't know what kind it is, but if it is a fish, that's one ugly fish?

I think I would have to give up fishing if I caught something that looked like that?

Checked my McClane's fishing encyclopedia, description but no picture. Wikipedia has a picture:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumpfish

Seems they are edible and the eggs are valued for caviar...them Frenchies will eat anything, just ask my cajun relatives.

I believe it's called a Stonefish or toad/frogfish?...I cant think of the name off hand, but I've seen these in the Aquarium trade.
