Tony, I have to test the fish once in a while to make sure they are staying healthy lol. Seriously I'll keep a mess once in a while, but release all the bigguns and lots of the lil' ones. Vern

I used to take a couple small ones home every now and then but since the river is full of mercury I dont eat anything, therefore I CPR all catfish.

Seeing that I don't catch very many obviously not a very good one. If I'm lucky enough to catch a big one it goes back after a photo. Most of the time the little ones go back also because I don't want to clean them.

If they are good filet and eating size, I keep em. let the big ones go though. I have gotton some strange looks when I talk about letting a big cat go...some people just dont get it and I explain.

I keep the ones between 1.5# and 9#. Anything bigger, if I caught one, would go back..

I release almost all of my fish. Once a year I have a fish fry for the ladies my wife works with and their families so I do keep enough fish for that and a few for me but not many and nothing over 12 pounds.
