What is the official name of the cushion seat that is behind a center console boat that has the 4 snaps that attaches directly to the boat deck?

It is similar to a seat that attaches to a cooler lid.

If I were to Google the seat name, what would I punch into google?

Maybe I'm not understanding. Most center consoles in smaller boats usually have a leaning post type, if anything at all.

Boss, does the back of that seat rotate forward/backward? Is the base like a rectangular box or square? Maybe I'm not understanding your question either? :confused2::embarassed:

Like the ones on b*** boats, that don't have a back at all? Think they call THOSE a butt seat or stool.

Hey Boss, check SeaArk's web site, under accesories. Cast & Blast rod/gun box cushion. I think this is like you are wanting. Good luck.

:smile2: Guess I oughta get more familiar with the boss's boat. That part (when I saw the pic) looked like what I call a cushion. Don't know much about SeaArk boats however. Thanks Bear.

Probably easier just to take it to the Vinyl Man and have him re-skin it in an hour...?

Well, due to all this rigamaroll and my ignorance regarding the subject, I asked someone else to look in on this thread.

That's what HE suggested Paul. Won't BE anything but a foam pad and a sewn vinyl cover. Any competent car upholsterer should be able to do it.

Paul, this is called a fold, fold down or bucket seat. You can spend from cheap to $300+ for these seats. If the seat is in good shape other than the cover and you like the seat you will most likely be money ahead to have it re-covered.
