That would be a Large Mouth Bass.
A largemouth for sure .....Funny eyes tho. Might be a genetic thing for that fish like an albino channel cat. I think if you had any qestion about it the dnr would know . But if you are like me it's been fileted .
its a kentucky bass (spotted bass), the red eyes give it away
IF it had a spot on its tounge it would be a Ky, spotted Bass.
If not largemouth.
Hm..I don't see red eyes, I see yellow/goldish color in the pic. The best proven way to tell is by the jaw line. On largemouth's the jaw lines extends back past the eyes when the mouth is closed....this is where "large mouth " comes into play. On spots and small mouths the jaw does not pass the eyes when the mouth is closed.
I cant tell on your pic because the mouth is open.
I do not know, I know it is not a blue, I do not bass fish!
a new kind of bait?:smile2:
i dont know
According to the Indiana DNR listings, it looks like a largemouth except the red eyes. The Spotted bass has faint black spots on the top on both sides from front to back.
I am not sure, but whatever it is it is interesting.
Thank you for sharing!
Oh yea, did you eat it? or CPR?
What kind of bass???
A bait bass of course:wink:
Good ole Ken. large mouth bass.
Can't offer any more of a definitive opinion than the other guys so I thought humor would be the best approach. My first thought was a LM but the head just doesn't look right.
would be a Large Mouth Bass.
looks like a largemouth to me.
