what is your favorite lake in ohio just curious I am going for Ceasar Creek myself
I enjoy fishing paint creek and deer creek. Have heard many good things about rocky fork, but never fished there myself
I would go for Dillon or Salt Fork even tho I have not caught anything of size but they are very nice lakes.
most of my lake fishing is rocky fork or deer creek.i usually pass up paint creek on the way to rocky.
if i lived closer,i would almost live on salt fork.
I like Buckeye for channels.I've caught some big channels out of there. But I haven't caught a Flattie out of there since I was 18:embarassed:
another lake I like in dayton is eastwood lake good place rick
My favorite lake would have to be Peidmont! Ive caught some big cats out of there over the years! I live a few minutes from alum creek so i fish it alot also!
It's easy. Chippewa Lake, the largest natural lake in Ohio and probably the most underfished resource in the state. Mainly because it has been private until lately.
Jeff what is the fishing like there, my nephew lives about 5 min away from there he says its pretty good.
Any of them that have flatheadsoooh: rollo
rocky fork and paint creek both have flats.lake logan has some flats also,i want to take a trip or two down there next year.
i think i have heard something about chipewaa lake, but too far a drive for me.
eastwood and ceasar creek both have flatheads in them rollo rick
Right now Chippewa is not open to the public.....yet. We have to wait on the county to build a boat ramp.
However, if you know someone who has access, I suggest you make a trip sometime. Catfish, Crappie, Bass, Perch, etc. etc. I plan on having a tourney there as soon as I can get permission.
I would have to say Dillon first because it's closer. Then it would be Salt Fork!
the lake i fish most often is knox, because its close, bout 50 feet from back door lol, but my fav lake local is charles mill for cats, followed closely by tappan
Man are you lucky. Charles Mill, Pleasant Hill and Clear Fork on the schedule for next year. All are in your back yard.
Would say knox, charles, and tappan also i gota date witha flathead that got away at the tourney at charles mill lol
i have only fished in griggs for catfish because i just started catfishin this year, but it is a great lake. Have caught alot of cats and several in the 8 to 10 pound range. What is everyones favorite lake for Flatheads??
You will laugh but Miami Whitewater Lake. It is really small, but I can tear that place up.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh them ohio lakes are fished out .
lol just kidding you fellas and gals . Happy New Year to you
