What is your favorite knife? Mine is my Buck 110 but I am looking for others.
I have an old "no name" buck knife with a antler, real not manufactured, that was my grand-dads. While it is a bit shorter than when he had it is still my favorite. Even though I gave up hunting. Favorite pocket knife is my old timer and it is just that; I have had it for about half my life.
A Case pocket knife that my wife gave around 20 years ago:big_smile_2:
Mine is a Schrade, Old Timer......Lock blade... that a former girlfriend gave me fer Christmas.....Stay's with me everywhere I go......
Cold Steel Ti-Lite, CRKT M-16 and a Buck Trapper plus I like a few Kershaw but I can't say which I like best.
KA-BAR Dozier Thorn or Alaska Wolverine both have D2 Steel harder to sharpen but stay sharper longer.
I've got a bunch, but my favorite all-round for hunting purposes is a yellow case trapper, also a folding Gerber with ~ 4-1/2" blade. For everyday carry, I've had a swiss army that I've been carrying for many, many years; small but useful for a lot of things. When I go fishing I usuall take the a Leatherman Super Tool that I've also had for many years.
I don't really have a favorite, other than the one I carry deer hunting. It's a Buck, has maybe a 3" blade. There are certainly better knives out there, and I own a couple, but what this one has going for it is a flourescent orange handle. When I'm working on a deer and lay it down on brown leaves and grass, I can always find it again. What's the deal with brown (or worse, camo) handles on hunting knives?
I'm getting ready to age myself. I have an old "Western"Hunting knife I got with Chesterfield cigarette cupons 39 years ago. I still use it on many a fishing trip and it holds a good edge. If you remember cigarette cupons you rank right up there with me in age. OH MY !
My favorite is an old Case "Sod buster", use it for everything; hunting, fishing, peeling fruit, potatoes, etc.
Have a nice day.
The Buck Model 110 is the gold standard....then ya come up with 8-10 more ya just got to have.
A Case Hawk Bill.
my spyderco is hard to beat I'm sure there are better knifes out there but i've lost and replaced it and then found the spyderco and nothing that i've replaced it with compares
For hunting I have a Kershaw with a gut hook, easy to sharpen and holds a edge very well. For cleaning fish an electric is hard to beat!
I don't have a favorite. I tend to lose knives pretty easy, so I just by "Ole Cheapo" brand.
I got a Columbia River knife called an Alaskan Bwana. Its a folding skinning knife and Ive skinned a doe then boned it out without resharpening it, first knife Ive had do that. So far so good.
Dont really have one, depends on what I'm doing like most of you folks.. In my drawer on the computer desk is my retired "Swiss Army Knife". The officer model on a lanyard to attach it to my belts so as to not loose it.
my favorite is my rapala, the more i get to use it the more i like it:big_smile:
bear skinning knife made by Knives of Alaska. ive got quite a collection and this one is by far my fav.
