What is your favorite John Wayne movie?

    For all you guys with cabin fever, here is one to mull over and kill some time... what is your favorite John Wayne movie?

    Mine is The Searchers, with Rio Bravo coming in a close second.

    True Grit, Big Jake, and Hondo are right up there too, IMHO.

    I would have to say big jake is my all time favorite but won't pass up watching any thing the duke was in.
    Gotta love that big guy.:)

    I love them all too, but North to Alaska is my favorite. Go figure a "grits" wanting to go North. LOL.

    I'm a big Katherine Hepburn fan so Rooster Cogburn is right near the top.

    i liked the one where he takes the school boys on a cattle
    drive and makes men out of em and in turns dies in the end
    that was a good movie .
    that and sons of katie elder and true grit.
    he was a great actor , not too many in his league.

    mine would definitely be The Longest Day. he doesn't play a central character, but he's in it and its a great movie.

    El Dorado,The Quietman,and the Comanchero's are my favorites.I have about 52 John Wayne movies.Need to convert them to DVD's.

    I would have to say that McClintok is one of my favorites, right along with True Grit, and Green Berets

    Too many to name, like them all, my wife will walk in on a Saturday and I'll be watching John Wayne and all I get is, "ummfff, not again" and she leaves....kind of a win, win situation.
