I was wondering what everyones favorite rig to use when drifting for blues. I like to use 8/0 circle hooks with a 1/2 oz weight at the bottom of the line. The hooks set from 10 to 18" from the bottom.

I like a 1 oz. weight. Other than that I agree.

I've been using the slip sinker rig with a small float between the hook and sinker to keep my bait from dragging bottom. I found this in the library, just I use smaller everything. I just started trying using the octopus hooks #4/0. As someone said in the chat room you just got to have faith in what your using, I just don't have much faith in the circle hooks.
