What is it?

    I don't get the pleasure of putting to many of these in the boat. Is it a Sauger or a Walleye? It was about 20" long.

    Looks like a sauger to me. We catch some walleyes while flathead fishing. They seem to like gills.

    Yup, sauger. Spotted dorsal fin, no white tip on the tail. That's pretty nice for a sauger.

    I don't understand the appeal either, except that they are pretty tasty. Not as fun as catfish for sure.

    Sauger, ya can tell by the dorsal fin and tail. Nice fish.

    Sauger for sure. Yes, you can tell by the blotches on the side and no white tip on the tail. Nice fish.

    20" ?

    guessing around a 11" girth which would be around 2.28 lbs.

    yes it is a sauger i use to fish for them on ohio river in the winter cousin to the walleye

    Well I cant be sure from the pic, but it looks to light to be a sauger. I would guess saugeye, a cross between a walleye and sauger. :cool2:
