I would think a number 4-8 size Gamagastku (or however its spelled) octopus circle hook should work good.

Do you know if wal-mart carries those hooks?

They do, I went to one today. Almost every bait/tackle store should have them.

I like the small circle hooks though. Once they suck the bait in and swim off, it is hooked real good in their rubbery mouth.

I just went there and bought some of the size 4 plain shanks and some small owner circle hooks.

Good luck. Carp aren't easy to fool.

I have the best luck with short shank #6 circle hooks for carp. They hook
    themselves 90% of the time.

My hook for a hair rig with corn is an offset #6 eagle claw, bait holder type hook without the barbs on the shank of the hook.

Generally I will use a #8, occassionally a 6, short shank, Eagle Claw. I will sharpen the hook before using to ensure that it is really sharp.
