I was searching the web for things that might be make good Valentines day gifts for him. I have included a few links to the gifts that I liked. Look at them and give me your feedback. Also tell me what you would like for the Valentines Day. I mean I want some cool, fun and 'out-of-the-norm' gift ideas too.

All you idea's a good ones, but not knowing your valentine, I wouldn't know what he would like best.
As for other idea's, I'm afraid I would be of no help at all. Ya see, as for myself, Valentines Day has always been about HER, not me. That's the way I want it. Face it, most guy's only notice that day because we're expected to show a little extra for our sweethearts that day. It really isn't important for them to give us anything, just acknowledge that we really love them and even though we don't have a clue as how to show it, we tried. Most of the time we resort to the old standbys of flowers and candy. We simply don't know any other way. It's definitely not because we don't care, it's just not knowing what to do.

Personally, I think all gift giving should only have one rule. Get them what they would love to have, but would NEVER actually go out and buy for themselves. Especially if it's because it cost too much or has no practical value. Buying a gift like that shows more how we feel about our sweetheart, than anything else. If you can't think of anything like that, have him make a list of at least 10 things that he feels qualifies. You then get to choose. What I do is use the online wish lists that both Bass Pro and Cabelas have. I keep it going year round and she has access to check it whenever birthday or Christmas comes around. I know which stores my wife loves to shop at, so I get her big gift certificates to each of them. The three things I know NEVER to buy her is jewelry, clothes or anything for the house. She may know exactly what she wants, but she also knows I would always pick the wrong thing. LOL

The gift I give her the most is what she really does want. A "HER DAY". Thats a day where she gets to do whatever she wants, whether it's visit family, sleep in all day, shop, whatever. The only two rules are it can't involve housework of any kind and me and our son leave early in the morning and don't come back till late that night. She is alone to choose without our being underfoot. As a working mom, she says thats the best gift we could give her. :smile2:

Number 13 on your list would be nice. If he cooks how about some TSS seasonings. One of the best ones I ever had was a secret pal gift every year for several years. Thought it was one of my friends messing with me. She got me on that one. Good luck!!

yeah yeah, I know the typical....fishing, hunting, beer, food and sex...I was looking for something that was different and wanting your insight on it. I basically already know what i am going to get him. I enjoy shopping for him and every once in a while getting something thats unique. Valentines Day and our anniversary are prolly the days that I concentrate more on a special gift than any other day of the year.

Anyway, to those that have posted or will post, thanks. :tounge_out:

Lookin' for the perfect gift, huh? Somethin' that'll mean more than just a little... Somethin' to strike his imagination.... Somethin' that'll make him feel...well dare I say, like a MAN... Well, after much debate, I've reached my personal conclusion for this 'perfect' gift....a tie. lol

But really, some of my fondest memories was hittin' the town with the guys. Or maybe just playin' cards or pool at eachother's houses. So, if his old highschool buddies is still around your general area...ya know..you could use some imagination with that.

Although...I did really like your gift ideas...(especially, well...I think everybody knows which one..lmao) I'd imagine he'd be happy with any or a combination of those gifts.

Anyway, if you want another strategy for your arsenal of gifts...(love is war in some cases..ha) Get him something personalized. And no...I don't mean a paper weight with his name on it... As long as it has your touch to it, and is his kinda style, I'd give it a green light. It could be a funny gag gift, a sweet and loving one, or both. That's what I like so much about personalized gifts. But, any way you go, I'm sure he'll love it. 'Cause ya know...it IS comin' from you. Which will automatically make your gifts rated a 10 outta 10... Although it is nice to get an 11 outta 10 sometimes...ha. Take care, and good luck findin' or decidin' what he'd like the best.

1.........If he loves chocolate, yep, that's one of my favorite chocolates, is it yours, too?
Also a new one I discovered over Christmas was Guinevere's, made right in New
    Orleans, since the 1800's....really good!

2........Good choice of a watch. My 30 year old son, loves that brand.

3........Mom loves the one she has, like this. But in CO? Save some $and just make him
a Hillbilly weather station.. .. (you know the one with a rock and a string)

4.........Definitely needed for the home library! Valentines day or not.........

5.........Personally I wouldn't waste good money on this one. If he doesn't have a car
or home charger, pick up one of those.

6.........Same reply as #1, only I've never tried this brand.

7..........I'm not a coffee expert, so you're on your own on this one.

    8...........Cute mug.

9............He doesn't have one of these, already? Or a Swiss Army knife?

10..........Not unusual but hey if he needs them.

11..........Don't think I've ever had Omaha steaks. Men love food, so how can you go
wrong, but it's not out of the ordinary.

12..........Looks like fun! Get it now, while you are younger, because at my age, it would
still hit me in the head, for lack of good eye sight.

13.......... What brand is that? I didn't catch one. I'd suggest investing in a JVC hard
drive, 20 GB recorder for a few dollars more. No cassettes, and has up to
24 hour record time in a tiny hand held model. It will also take 9999 pictures
on the hard drive. Great little gadget. Check it out at WW.

    14............Here again, I didn't see a brand, so I can't comment, on this one.

You asked for my opinions on your links, and there they are, JMHO.

Thanks for an interesting thread and I'll get back to you, if I think of anything for you to ponder about for him. I was just answering your questions, sis.

    Love and hugs,

P.S. Now as for me, all I want is a little 'peace, quiet and happiness,' from a man I thought I knew for 7 years. I have TOO much stuff. Don't need or want anymore. It'll take me until I die to get rid of it!

    Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Rebel;
This is just one "Old Dog's" opinion but I am going to post it anyway.
I'm the Luckiest Man in this World! I have Raven in My Life. For us, we are One Spirit with Two Heartbeats.
For us, each and every DAY, is Valentines Day, Christmas, ect, ect.
Each DAY we LOVE EACH OTHER more than the Day before!
Even if one of us is going to the local store or down to the corner to get gas, we make sure to tell the other How MUCH we care for them!
For us, that daily touch, look, caress, ... we take advantage of every chance. So we celebrate the other in our lives each and every day because we don't need a special day to tell the other "I LOVE YOU FOREVER + 1 Day"
We live in an ever growing, greater conflicting world each day. We tell each other that; "I LOVE YOU FOREVER + 1 Day" because of all the uncertainties in life, one thing IS FOR Certain; Death of the Physical Body!
Most of us never know when that time will come and only few of us know ahead of time by more than a few seconds!
So we live, and LOVE EACH OTHER, as if it was the last day because someday, usually known only to Our CREATOR, it will be that "Last Day" and then it will be TOO DAMN LATE!
That is why I have always said that, "funerals are for the living!"
So, in this long winded way, I guess the best thing to give someone like me for Valentines Day is to give My Mate the day off from work so that "I" have yet another full day of Quality Time With My Loved One.
And if you don't believe me just ask Brother Dayton! :smile2:
I hope this does not confuse anyone or make anyone think that I am "Pshawing" on any celebrated holiday!
Quite the contrary, I hope this helps Ya'All somehow, ... someway...
    Fraternally and Sincerely,
Coyote1 "Raven's Madly In Love Crazy Canine and PROUD of it!"
