So I found a little motor the other day and would like to get it running again (just because lol). Unfortunately it is missing a vital piece of equipment. The carb is MIA. The only thing I found on the motor was a MADE IN THE USA stamp. I am pretty sure it is going to be a Sears and Roebuck motor, but that really doens't help much. Does anyone have one of these?

I would advise to be cautious and go slow with the idea of restoring any Sears outboard motor.Research before action is critical. You can spend a lot of money and time on them, then still have a piece of junk that will not run.I found this out the hard way, twice.

This is good advice on restoration work on anything.I wish that I had followed it!Some things are just not worth fixing.
