buy a couple nice rig ups, all the terminal tackle you will need. Then i would buy all your favorite sinker molds that you use most and a production pot to melt the lead. Making your own weights will pay for itself in the long run. Then visit team catfish and blow the rest!

My advice would be to buy something for the boat that you are "going to get"..

When you buy a boat - usually you get a boat. No gear like vests, anchor, trolling motor, ice chest, swivel seats, locator, and on and on forever. Buy this stuff now and you will want the boat even more.

If I had the $1000 - probably do something stupid with it.

Give it a lot of careful thought. I've spent that much and more on sponsor products since May of this year so it doesn't take long to waltz your way through a grand.:eek:oooh: Stay safe and enjoy the spoils!!!

well all of these guys and gals gave you some good advice ((LOL))

Larry is right, man it dont take long to go thru a Grand, you mentioned something about a new boat next year, you will have a lot of expense trying to get your boat rigged up the way you want it, anchors, rope, life jackets, insurance, on and on the list goes ((LMBO))

give it a lot of thought, so you dont buy something that you wont use later, ((Like Me)) LMBO !!!!!

I would go buy another Lowrance HDS series for my smaller boat (17ft). I love the one I got and want another cause its hard to go from the HDS to the black and white lowrance I have on the small boat. Like test driving a Porsche then hopping back into my pinto when its done :smile2:
