To me it looks like the fish would go at least 40, but you never know, ive been fooled a whole lot by size.

Well I'm not the best guess, (thats why I always carry the digital scale, haha) but I'de say its around 35-40? You really gotta see this kind of thing in person to tell the size, but still, the picture is worth just as much as the weight! That must have been an awesome fight!

I've caught a 30# blue and I know how big Pete is. My guess would be mid 40's plus. Wouldn'r surprise me if it hit the 50's

    BobPaul your about right. LOL
45 lbs 12 oz. On the 220 lb scales I picked up from Coffee at the national.
She was about give out when I dipped the fish for her. Man she was so happy it made my day.
Also yes its the same fish. Just to show how different a fish looks next to a 140 lbs gal and a 235 lb guy.
I guess I am just a good guide AS people catch good fish with me but I just catch the little ones. LOL
Also she caught it on a 6ft med light rod with a 2/0 kale hook and liver. 42 ft deep and the water temp was 71 degrees.
WE also caught 32 more that were whole fryers. And that was the size we were after.
Willard eat your heart out :tounge_out:

I often tell clients that it's best NOT to weigh their big fish. That way they can claim any weight they want and nobody can ever dispute the claim.

Nice blue Pete! I would have guessed the fish to be around 40. I bet those 32 dinks were fun to catch too!

    It was a fun morning.
Went back this am. And in 2 hours we caught 26 and the current was cut. So we left as the fish stopped bitting.
