Weather or not it would hold fish or not hard to say. I would think so with the rock and drop off. It looks to me like rock just where the water has washed the dirt off of them.

The thing that caught my eye about it is the bank to the right and left for a long way is just dirt and if it continues under the water it appears to make a nearly perfect circle

That the remnants of a crashed space ship:eek:oooh::wink::smile2:

no that's a slate or shale rock formation. It could hold fish especially under where the rock protrudes out like a shelf. At any rate it is an different and alot of times fish are attracted to different.

But for sure you will never know until you try.

It's called an anticline...folded sedimentary rock, that has, in this case, been exposed by erosion. Here's a link that explains it better:

I would definitely fish it, more than once.

Dave's link is just what the man puts out there to throw us off the truth - definitely caused by an extra-terrestrial crash landing:smile2:

JRicker, is that on the Cumberland River by chance? And what part of the great state of Tennessee are you located? I'm in Springfield.

yeah that looks like a great place to try. Looks like the current there has washed out the mud and left the slate rock for great ambush cover. I am sure you will have luck there. Keep us updated on how well it produces.
