what depth to fish in fall

    i fish a large stone quarry. and cant seen to catch channels consistently.in the fall.averge depth 11 feet.but some spots 20foot.

    I fish for blue in the fall and winter and fish about 4'-10' deep on mud bottoms. This year I am going to use Secret 7 dip bait along with the cut shad and skipjack.

    I like Kat Bobbers, so I would fish one and change depths till you find em. Also keep one on the bottom, you will find them eventually.

    good thread ralph!!!! i have the same question. i mostly fish for flats and blues, but there is a lake close to me that is stocked annually and should be full of channels. so i was going to head out and give it a try here soon but didnt know which end to start at.

    Good idea. I just stared using the kat bobber this year and didn't think about using them on the mud flats.
