What carbs are on my boat

    i have a 1970 115 johnson does any body know what carbs are on that motor,can they be bought new or do they have to be rebuilt? # 115esl70d

    I doubt if you could find new carbs for that year. They are simple to rebuild and a whole lot cheaper then new one or used ones. Bob paul has a turtoral in the library for rebuilding carbs. They may not look like yours but the process is a whole lot alike.
    When the BRP site comes back online I'll post you a link to an exploded view of those carbs and I'll look up the numbers for the kits and you can order them through NAPA or O rilieys either one.

    The parts number for those carb kits sierra number 18-7046

    This will give you all the gaskets and needle and seats. You will need to order two of them. One for each carb on that motor and its not all that hard to clean and rebuild them.
