Here is what I think, first be a active member, dont lurk post..2ND Recruit new members, and last but not least, donate 10 bucks to help paul run the site, and get yourself a star.

I agree, a lot of people are complaining about having to have 10 post to view pictures and stuff. I'm really getting tired of it, they just want to suck up info from everyone else and not even give a simple "Thanks for the help" or anything. Participation is what makes a forum, the more the better. Anyone that has the finicial capability to donate definitely should, some people do have hard times, and might not have the $10, but there are a lot that do that just aren't donating anyway. Come on folks, at least $10, help out a little.

Also get cards and pass them out. It's free for you and helps out the brotherhood.

I think Flathunter should personally drive a car full of people to the National Gathering. It's the least he could do for the BOC.

Wolfman hit the nail on the head!!

Only thing that I would add is:

    9) Make sure to welcome and help new members around the board.
    10) Make sure to represent the BOC well at Gatherings or when meeting members.

Add a link to BOC on your home page if you have a web site.

I would like to add one more to this otherwise very complete list:

Bid on the BOC auctions. Nice stuff there right now.

Wolfman nailed it I think. Being active makes us a stronger community. This is the only forum I've ever been on where I feel like I've actually gotten to know people!

If you donate something for a give-a-way,does it have to be fishing related?
