If the truth could be known, how many of us would have released that fish on the spot? Most would be calling their State Wildlife officer to find out how to get this fish certified for a state and/or world record. Or worst still, hauling it around in the back of a pickup truck to show off!

My hat is off to this True Sportsman and Brother of the BOC. Mac

There's no way I would have kept that fish, but it would have been nice to know...his scale topped out at 100lbs, and honestly how often are you going to need one that goes higher than that? So major respect to him for releasing it, and getting good shots to share with everyone instead of it just being another fish story!

My hat is also off to Mr. Radish!

I would've released "that" fish out of pure respect for my elders. Camera or no camera! I don't believe there's any possible way that fish could survive the amount of time it would take to have him certified. Mr. Radish is definitely a sportsman! People fishing for records are the farthest thing from a sportsman. They're just simply braggarts!

The images are not fake and not "Photoshoped". There are several shots and all from different angles. Definately a real catch.

He's a BOC member and he sent me some other photos of the fish. It was hard to get an accurate measurement on the fish in Photoshop, but with the numbers I got from things in the image I estimated it to be 145-155.

That was being conservative. There were some measurements that were so crazy and off the chart that I hesitate to mention them.

It was a new world record. The good news is that it is still out there!!!

better person than most for letting a monster like that go, much respect. I would let that fish go to but I am also probably to small and weak to haul that fish into the boat anyways
