Here is your time to speak up for our up comming gathering:wink:
i only been to the slough never james rd so i will wait for some feedback from the brothers before i vote
I like the Slough better as there is more places to go and fish. Alsomore moving water!
:0a27: with Ray on this,
About waiting on some feedback from some of the Brothers that have fished that area at that time of the year.
:0a27: with Don as well because he makes a good point - "Moving Water" is very important in fishing as well as the fact of being able to spread out and fish different areas, and at that time of the year I may lean more in the direction of the slough.
(Just my thoughts :0a28
The location is secondary the company is primary
I'm not to sure if the Slough is open beyound the gate in the fall.... I think you have to be a hunter... but I may be wrong.
:smile2:I will have to agree with RRS on that one point.:cool2::big_smile:
"No Problem Big Ray"!
We could all wear camo - all of us can bring our Hunting Rifles & every now & then one of us could fire off a few rounds
We are now Hunters & are on some of the best fishing areas there.:amazed:
(Just kidding - But think about it Fellows :0a14
Now that's why you're the brains of this operation Bert!! always coming up with a plan...
The gate will be closed after our 28th-30th get together. You are right Ray:wink:
well that will eliminate a lot of fishing area so maybe we should think about James Rd or if you know a good spot at the slough to fish that will have enough room for all of us and our gear? The gate is right at the boat launch if i am not mistaken?
There is the 1st spot at the slough that has shade. Me and fullmoon did pretty good out there at the spot in Feb. There is a spots by the ramp, but no shade. James RD, well depends on the weather. If it rains, the roads get pretty bad out there and the size of fish are not that great. But there is shade:smile2:
Ray PM'd me about Jacks resort. It is across the street from the slough. They charge for camping and launch boats. It is an idea though. Maybe we could get a discount if we have a group? I dunno. This is an idea though:wink:
Hey Big Robb - I got a question for ya:
Say that we are at a spot at the slough (at the begining or at that gate), can you still fish in areas of the slough - if you were drop-off inside & picked up by someone in a boat - or is the slough closed to fishing for everyone be-on the gated area?
Because if not -we could just suttle borthers in (by boat) to area along the slough or is that out of the question?
I have fished the areas and docked my boat severalmtimes to fish. They only allow hunters to drive back there. They don't open the gates because of rif raft would go back there and cause problems. Thts what was told to me. So as long as we do not drive back there, it should be cool:wink:
Bayruuner Ray's idea might be good? as long as we can night fish there.
I believe it is like $15 to camp and 6-8 bucks to launch per day:wink:
I do not think you can get a boat under the highway bridge. would have to launch at the slough.
I think Robb and I saw a few bass boats pass through there with no problem during January and February trips. I think boats will pass through there.
Hello everybody, hope all is well. I am working some OT. Does Jack's Resort have a campground with Shade? can we fish right by our campground?
