After work last night, my daughter and I decided to go out fishing for a while.

The fish were biting like crazy:smile2: , but we didn't catch a one!:sad2:

I don't know what was going on, but I don't think there's a hungry fish left in Grand Lake because we fed all of them.

The wind was blowing pretty good and the water was real rough and didn't help any?

I did have a few nice ones hooked for a little bit, but lost them.:sad2:

We had a good time anyway.:smile2:

Well as long as you had a good time thats all that matters. It sure is nice when they do get hooked though.

A good time, fishing biting like crazy, had a few good ones on etc.(Sounds like a great trip to me) Sure, it is disappointing to not get a few in when things are happening like that. But, it is even more disappointing when you don't get a bite at all. And, that has been my story for the last few fishing trips.

Just Getting To Go Is The Best Part Of All, The Catching Is Merely A Bonus.

Ken I like to do the same thing. Just go out and feed the fish with my bait.

Anyone can catch em, it is letting them take your bait off your hook and not catching them that takes real talent. LMAO

In all seriousness, it sounds like you all had a fun time. What type of hooks were you using? What bait?

HArd to say not knowing the bait and size/kind of hook you were using..

Next time, try going down a size or two on your hook. Make sure your hooks are sharp.. I took the wife out to the lake after a mild rain one time, dont know what was going on, but I basically couldnt fish because as soon as her line hit the water it they were all over it.. Kept missing quite a few.. Went down in hook size and found out it was a bunch of little ones, pound or less, with a few decent sized ones, 3-5lbs mixed in...
