Hey in guys went fishin' today up at the J. Edward Rouche res. and Wabash river in Huntington Indiana, started out on the river side of the dam (backside) no bites, then went to the res. side started getting some bites and finally got one to take it, and it was a 2lb. channel was looking for some blues, but hey it was a fish, they were biting on the creek chubs but were not really commiting to the bite, so finally I opened my reel and let it freespool, anybody else been out lately? and did you do any good? :eek:oooh::006:

Hey dont let catfish64 fool ya. He likes to play tricks and practical jokes on you when you aint lookin. He is my brother in law and I went with him today. It was a very slow bite but he did manage to catch 1. Ask him about the bull head that was clinging to his hook and dint even know it untill he reeled in his line as we were leaving. HA....HA....HA....Doug got you back for pulling on my line at the spill way.:cool2:

i learned that when the ice comes off they are real spooky! as you found out they will drop it at any sign of resistance when its this cold. what i do(on shore) is lay the pole in the grass in free spool(no clicker!) and pull out about 3ft of line between the reel and first eyelet. lay the line in an s shape in the grass. when they take it you have enough time to react and they dont feel a thing! when it gets tight smackum. naturally this isnt an "in current" application, but i dont fish them in current this early anyhow.
