I would not lose any sleep over it. You will be able to buy any car you want some day and you may discover that you want something different!!

For $500 it will need more than a rebuilt engine in in no time. I rebuilt a lot of clasics so far and either some one had a gun to the sellers head or they know what is about to come. I bet that thing looks like He!% if media blasted or chemical stripped.

Look on the bright side you wont have to deal with all the problm of he car down the road.

Looks like him and his dad got a long term project to work on. Don't need
to build it into a funny car, with a little careful attention to details that
could be a fine little ride. But it will take time and way more money than
he put into the pony at the start. Restoring a classic is a work of love.

Well you could just get a car like what my buddy got, we all get to take it out and play in it. It sure gets some looks on the road. Just so ya know its a 99 mustang cobra.

Go to the big car shows up here in the BIG city and count how many classic chevy's there are compared to fords. Old Camaro's and Corvette's are the American Dream. Mustangs were the hand me downs. Other than the Roush, Shelbys , and Cobras , they are all junk in my opinion. The Yenkos, Lingenfelter's, and all the bad a$$ SS's are the bad boys. Id give my left n&t for a 68 Camaro SS Yenko , but you couldnt give me a 68 mustang. Check it. It just doesnt get any better. :cool2:

90% of all fords sold are still on the road today....... the other 10% made it home. I wouldn't be to upset, It doesn't matter how good of a mechanic his dad is, it will still be a ford when he is done. Your still young, one day when you are grown up and much wiser, you will get a Chevy. :cool2:

And If Carrol Shelby Would Of Made A Chevy I Would Dream Of Acually Driving A SHELBY But Instead I Really Want One Just For A Keepsake:big_smile:.

    Like A 1969 Gt500:wink:

Maybe I Could Change The Motor And Put A 350 In There:cool2::wink:.
